Man Dies In Accident Involving Pickup Truck On Route 51 In Rostraver

ROSTRAVER, PA – Police said an accident involving a pickup truck left a driver dead in Rostraver on Monday morning, TribLIVE reports.

The crash occurred on Route 51 near Willowbrook Road at about 10 a.m. Investigators learned that a man driving a Ford pickup in the northbound lanes struck an object in the roadway. Authorities have not said what the object was.

The driver, a 60-year-old Irwin man, was found unresponsive when first responders arrived. He was pronounced dead after being taken to Allegheny General Hospital.

The incident is under investigation by Rostraver police and the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office.
