Head-on Collision in South Strabane Township Claims Life of 65-Year-Old Man

WASHINGTON COUNTY, PA – A 65-year-old resident of Eighty-Four has died and one other person was left injured after a collision Thursday night in South Strabane Township, reports WPXI.

According to Washington County dispatchers, the incident took place on East Beau Street near Eastpointe Drive at about 8:40 p.m.

Local police say a car was traveling eastbound on East Beau Street when it entered the opposite lane and struck a westbound vehicle head-on.

The driver of the wrong-way vehicle, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the impact, succumbed to his injuries, confirmed the Washington County Coroner.

The other driver, whose identifying details have not been disclosed, sustained minor injuries.

An investigation by South Strabane Police remains open and ongoing.
