ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA – A rollover crash involving multiple vehicles Sunday afternoon, August 4, in Dormont claimed the life of a 25-year-old woman, according to reports from WTAE and TribLIVE.
The accident resulted in a closure of West Liberty Avenue between Pioneer and LaSalle avenues and prompted a response from the borough’s fire department, multiple area police departments, and medics.
Details remain limited at this time, but nearby doorbell video footage captured a convertible being hit by a truck moments after emerging from a side street. One of the involved vehicles overturned during the crash.
Officials have not confirmed whether the 25-year-old woman was a driver or a passenger, and it was unclear whether she died at the scene or at a hospital.
A span of West Liberty Avenue was blocked off for over three hours during the response and investigation.
No charges or citations have been reported at this time.
