Man, 44, dies following motorcycle crash in Westmoreland County

WESTMORELAND COUNTY, PA – A 44-year-old man lost his life due to a motorcycle accident Thursday night in Mt. Pleasant Township, according to CBS News Pittsburgh.

The fatal incident took place on a stretch of Hecla Road shortly before 8:30 p.m.

Although the circumstances behind the event have not been shared with the public, preliminary details indicate the victim was operating a motorcycle when the bike left the roadway, causing him to eject.

The rider, a local resident, was pronounced deceased by the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office.

An investigation by Pennsylvania State Police was underway.
