Person Sent to Hospital After Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer, Work Vehicle in Rostraver

WESTMORELAND COUNTY, PA – At least one person suffered injuries as a result of a collision between a tractor-trailer and a highway maintenance vehicle Monday morning in Rostraver Township, reports TRIBLive.

According to Rostraver Central Fire Department officials, the big rig was left disabled on the shoulder of the Yough Bridge after slamming into the work vehicle at the 47-mile marker of Interstate 70. Crews were dispatched to the site at about 4:00 a.m.

One patient had to be taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries. The scene also required the clean-up of fluids found leaking from the striking vehicle.

No pending charges or citations have been announced at this time.
