Man airlifted following motorcycle vs. vehicle on PA-8 in Penn Township

BUTLER COUNTY, PA – One person had to be flown to an area hospital Tuesday morning, July 9, after colliding with a vehicle while operating a motorcycle in Penn Township, reports Butler Radio.

The incident unfolded on State Route 8, just south of Airport Road, in the unincorporated community of Nixon. Butler County 911 Center dispatchers were alerted shortly before 11:30 a.m.

Officials did not immediately say whether the motorcyclist or the other driver was at fault, but EMS personnel arrived on the scene to find the rider conscious.

The victim was transported by medical helicopter to a hospital in Pittsburgh, where their condition remains undisclosed.

No information regarding potential charges or citations has been made available.
