WEST EARL TOWNSHIP, PA – Rescue crews came to the aid of two drivers involved in a collision of pickup trucks in Lancaster County, according to WGAL.
The vehicles crashed early Friday morning in the area of Oregon Pike/Route 272 and West Main Street in West Earl Township. First responders arrived sometime around 4:30 a.m. to find that one of the drivers was trapped inside their truck.
Crews removed the vehicle’s passenger side doors and were able to extricate that person. The other pickup involved rolled onto its side after the collision.
The drivers were taken to an area hospital but there was no immediate word on their condition. A portion of Route 272 was shut down by the crash, which remains under investigation by police.
West Earl Township police are investigating.
