Accident Sends Truck Onto Guardrail on Interstate 79 in Canonsburg

CANONSBURG, PA – Police and emergency crews were dispatched to an acccident involving a truck in Washington County on Wednesday afternoon, WTAE reports.

The Canonsburg Volunteer Fire Department said the truck became stuck on a guardrail along Interstate 79 South near Exit 48 (Southpointe/Hendersonville).

The driver was not injured in the incident, and no other vehicles were involved. Photos posted on Facebook showed the damaged vehicle on the guardrail. The Canonsburg firefighters were assisted at the scene by the North Strabane Fire Department.

No details were released on what led to the wreck, which is under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police.
