Driver Hospitalized After Car Falls Through Parking Deck In Allegheny County

BELLEVUE, PA – A driver was injured early Thursday morning when a vehicle fell through the surface of a parking deck in Allegheny County.

According to a Facebook post from the Emsworth Volunteer Fire Department, crews rushed to the scene at about 12:30 a.m. on a report of a vehicle into a structure in Bellevue. They arrived to find that the vehicle had crashed through a two-level parking deck and garage at Fremont Square, an apartment building on S. Fremont Avenue.

The driver, who was still inside, was extricated and taken to by Northwest EMS to an area hospital with minor injuries.

WPXI reports the Bellevue building code department is conducting an investigation into how the incident happened.
