PITTSBURGH, PA – Pittsburgh Police and EMS responded to a vehicle and pedestrian collision on Thursday afternoon, according to a news release from the City of Pittsburgh.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Centre Avenue and Morewood Avenue at about 12:30 p.m.
Officials said an adult woman holding a child was crossing the street when they were struck by a vehicle, causing them to fall.
The woman sustained minor injuries and the child appeared to be unharmed. She initially declined transport but EMS medics transported both to the hospital as a precaution.
The driver involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. At this time, no charges are anticipated.
