Driver Of Stolen Vehicle Crashes Into Store In Penn Hills

PENN HILLS, PA – A police pursuit ended with a crash in Penn Hills, Allegheny County on Monday night, CBS Pittsburgh reports.

The incident began when Allegheny County Police attempted a traffic stop at about 8:30 p.m. on an SUV in the parking lot of the Ritzland Plaza shopping center that had been reported as stolen.

Police said the driver then backed into a police cruiser while attempting to elude the traffic stop. The SUV collided with multiple vehicles in the parking lot, then crashed into a Dollar General store.

The driver tried to flee the scene on foot but was apprehended a short time later. No one was injured in the incident.
