Driver Critically Injured In Accident On Beacon Street In Squirrel Hill

PITTSBURGH, PA – A driver was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash in the Squirrel Hill section of Pittsburgh on Monday afternoon.

According to a press release from the City of Pittsburgh, police from Zone 4 were dispatched to the scene in the 6300 block of Beacon Street shortly before 3:30 p.m.

Responding officers found a woman in the vehicle in critical but stable condition. She was the only occupant of the vehicle.

Pittsburgh EMS administered blood in the field before taking the woman to the hospital.

The Collision Investigation Unit is trying to determine the cause of the crash.
