WASHINGTON, PA – Police and paramedics were called to an accident in the city of Washington Monday evening that left a boy critically injured, reports WPXI.
According to investigators, the teen was riding a scooter shortly before 6:42 p.m. when he was hit by a car at the intersection of West Chestnut Street and Washington Street. The driver of the car attempted to render aid until emergency crews arrived at the scene.
The victim was flown to Children’s Hospital with injuries reported to be life-threatening.
An investigation is continuing into the cause of the crash, and anyone with further information was asked to contact the City of Washington Police Department.
