2 Injured In Wreck On Route 51 South In Chippewa Township

CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP, PA – Two people were injured in an accident in Chippewa Township on Saturday, according to the Chippewa Township Fire Department.

The fire department said its Engine and Rescue 22 crews responded to the scene on Route 51 southbound just before Emmet Drive at about 5:30 p.m.

Three cars were involved in the collision, and two people were injured. The victims were treated at the scene by EMS personnel, then were transported by ambulance with undisclosed injuries.

Fire crews also cooled down a smoking engine and helped clean up the scene. Two of the vehicles were towed away.

Chippewa Township police are investigating the cause of the crash.
