TARENTUM, PA – A woman was injured when the car she was riding in was involved in a wreck in Tarentum on Tuesday afternoon, according to TribLive.
According to the investigation, a man was driving a Volkswagen Golf AllTrack north in the passing lane of Pennsylvania 28 when the crash occurred shortly before 3:11 p.m. The vehicle struck a guardrail in the median just past Exit 14 and spun out in the northbound lanes.
The woman was transported to Allegheny Valley Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Field sobriety tests were performed on the driver, who was then detained and handcuffed by state troopers.
Authorities blocked off the area while crews were responding, and the Volkswagen was towed from the scene.
