WEST VIEW, PA – Allegheny County Police responded to a pedestrian crash Wednesday night near West View that left a 73-year-old man critically injured, reports CBS News Pittsburgh.
First responders were dispatched to the scene on Perry Highway at Wellington Drive, shortly before 8:00 p.m.
While officials have not released a statement about the circumstances of the event, the victim was found seriously injured in the area after having been struck by a vehicle. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
County officials have not confirmed whether charges or citations are anticipated, but the involved driver remained after the crash and cooperated with an investigation.
