PITTSBURGH, PA – A woman lost her life Wednesday morning after being struck by a vehicle in the Point Breeze neighborhood of Pittsburgh’s east side, reports CBS News.
Pittsburgh Public Safety said the collision took place in the area of South Dallas Street and Reynolds Street at around 9:00 a.m.
The woman, who was described as “unconscious” and “not breathing” at the scene, was administered life-saving measures until she was rushed to a nearby hospital. She was pronounced deceased shortly after.
No other information about the victim or the driver has been shared with the public, but officials said the driver remained behind at the scene.
The case is being handled by the Pittsburgh Police Collision Investigation Unit.
