BUTLER COUNTY, PA – A semi-truck accident last Thursday afternoon, July 18, in Butler left at least one person with serious injuries, according to Butler Radio.
The accident happened on a stretch of North Main Street Extension (Route 8 North) at Concordia Way, just south of Clearview Mall. Butler County 911 dispatchers received the call at around 1:00 p.m.
No information about the cause of the wreck has been shared, but multiple area agencies, including crews from Unionville, Butler Township, and Butler City, responded to the scene where one patient was confirmed trapped in the truck, which had traveled over a hillside.
Officials said a STAT MedEvac helicopter was called for one person with rib and chest injuries. Three Butler EMS ambulances were also requested, but the conditions of the other victims remain unclear.
No charges have been reported at this time.
