BUTLER COUNTY, PA – A head-on collision in Butler County left one person dead and two others seriously injured, WPXI reported.
The vehicles crashed Monday afternoon at about 4 p.m. in the area of Onedia Valley Road (Route 38) and Rider Road in Concord Township. An initial investigation by Pennsylvania State Police found that the driver of a Cadillac was heading south on Route 38 and veered into the northbound lane, The driver of an oncoming northbound Honda CRV swerved to try and avoid the Cadillac but was struck by the car.
A passenger in the Honda, a 48-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two drivers involved were seriously injured and transported to area hospitals.
A portion of Route 38 was closed while the wreck was being cleared and investigated.
