WASHINGTON COUNTY, PA – A single-vehicle collision Sunday afternoon in east Canonsburg claimed the life of a 77-year-old woman, according to TRIBLive.
The accident happened in the 4000 block of Washington Road, prompting a response from local authorities shortly after 12:15 p.m.
While the events leading up to the wreck remain under investigation, County Coroner Tim Warco indicated that the woman was driving when she lost control of her vehicle, causing a crash.
The woman, of Peters Township, was rushed to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
No other major injuries were reported.
