Collisions in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill Tunnel Leaves 1 Injured

PITTSBURGH, PA – One person was reported hurt following a pair of crashes last Friday evening in the Squirrel Hill Tunnel in east Pittsburgh, reports WTAE.

The incidents left all outbound lanes blocked, but by the time of WTAE’s update shortly after 6:00 p.m., the closure had been lifted.

Very few details have been disclosed at this time, but officials confirmed that one person was taken to an area hospital. The severity of the patient’s condition remains unknown to the public.
