Collision At Intersection In Fayette County Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Seriously Injured

FAYETTE COUNTY, PA -Two vehicles were involved in a fatal collision Monday night at an intersection in Fayette County, TribLIVE reported.

Authorities were called to the scene in the vicinity of Morgantown Road and Tent Church Road just after 9 p.m. Pennsylvania State Police said their investigation indicated that the driver of a Chevy Cruze went past a stop sign and collided with a Subaru Legacy, causing the Subaru to catch fire.

A 24-year-old Georges Township man who was a passenger in the Cruse was ejected from the car and died at the scene. The Cruse driver and a passenger in the Legacy were transported to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by State Police.
