Authorities called to multi-vehicle wreck on southbound I-70 in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, PA – Multiple vehicles were involved in a collision late Saturday, August 24, on Interstate 95 near Washington, according to 511PA Statewide.

The accident happened on the southbound lanes of I-95 between Exit 2 to State Highway 452 (Market Street) and Exit 1 to Chichester Avenue. It was first reported shortly before 11:11 p.m.

Very few details have been made available at this time, but crews had a section of the southbound interstate shut down in the immediate aftermath.

As of this writing, it’s unclear exactly how many vehicles or parties were involved.
