FRANKLIN PARK, PA – A multi-vehicle accident Tuesday morning northwest of Pittsburgh sent one person to the hospital, according to WPXI.
The collision, which involved a truck towing a camper, unfolded just before 9:05 a.m. in the southbound lanes at the Interstate 279 and 79 split.
Pennsylvania State Police said officers, fire crews, and EMS units were dispatched to the scene where two crashes, each involving two vehicles, were reported at the median strip.
While officials confirmed that one person had to be hospitalized, no further details about the patient’s condition have been made public.
By the time of WPXI’s report at 10:06 a.m., the scene had been cleared from the roadway.
