7 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Wreck Near SE Washington Involving Towed Boat

WASHINGTON COUNTY, PA – Four people had to be airlifted to area hospitals Sunday afternoon, September 22, following a collision near southeast Washington that left three others hurt, reports CBS News Pittsburgh.

As many as four vehicles were involved in the wreck, which was reported just before 2:00 p.m., on a stretch of Interstate 70 from Exit 21 (I-79 South to Morgantown) to Exit 20 (PA 136 to Beau Street). Washington County EMS crews responded to the scene shortly after.

At this time, officials have not released further information indicating the cause of the wreck or the conditions of the seven injured occupants. The three patients who were not flown by medical helicopter were taken to a nearby hospital via ambulance.
