Pedestrian dies following crash on Route 453 in Blair County

BLAIR COUNTY, PA – Authorities responded to a collision Tuesday morning in Snyder Township that claimed the life of a 28-year-old pedestrian, according to WTAJ.

The incident occurred on a stretch of the highway (Janesville Pike) at Wild Goose Lane, in the Tyrone area. Multiple agencies, including the Pennsylvania State Police, local fire crews, and the Blair County Coroner’s Office, were all dispatched to the scene.

While the circumstances behind the event are being investigated, PSP said the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene by the coroner’s office.

No information about the involved driver has been made available, and no other major injuries were immediately reported.

Officials said an autopsy is expected to be conducted on Wednesday, August 21.
