PITTSBURGH, PA – A collision in Pittsburgh involving a hit-and-run driver sent two people to the hospital, TribLIVE reports.

The incident happened Saturday afternoon in the city’s Shadyside neighborhood. According to a police investigation, a driver was trying to make a left turn at the corner of South Aiken Avenue and Centre Avenue at about 1:45 p.m.

The vehicle struck a man and a woman who were crossing the intersection at Centre Avenue. The two pedestrians were listed in stable condition after being taken to area hospitals.

The driver involved fled the scene after the crash, which remains under investigation by Pittsburgh police.
