Driver Hospitalized After Crashing Through Fence And Into Retention Pond In Washington

WASHINGTON, PA – A car accident in Washington County on Monday morning sent a driver to the hospital, WPXI reports.

First responders were called to the scene on Washington Road after being notified of the incident at about 8:40 a.m. Authorities said a car crashed through a fence in a restaurant parking lot, went 20 feet over a retaining wall, and ended up in a retention pond, where it overturned.

The driver was removed from the car and flown to a hospital in Pittsburgh with undisclosed injuries.  No one else was in the vehicle.
