MANOR, PA – A dump truck and a passenger vehicle were involved in a fatal collision in Westmoreland County on Monday morning, according to TribLIVE.
Authorities were called to the scene at the intersection of Broadway Street and Liberty Avenue near the border of North Huntingdon and Manor.
Investigators learned that a dump truck and trailer rolled over onto a Hyundai Kona that was traveling northwest at about 8 a.m. The Hyundai driver, an 86-year-old man from Irwin, was killed. His wife, who was in the passenger seat, was transported to AHN Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville, though no details were released on her condition.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police and Manor police.
