ALLEGHENY TOWNSHIP, PA – A single-vehicle accident in Allegheny Township late Sunday night claimed the life of a driver, according to WTAE.
Authorities said the motorist was headed south on Pennsylvania 356 near the River Forest Country Club when the crash occurred shortly before 11 p.m. The car veered into the center median, traveled off the west shoulder of the road, went up an embankment and overturned, according to Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead about 90 minutes later. She was a 29-year-old woman from Leechburg. No one else was in the car at the time of the wreck.
