PITTSBURGH, PA – Two separate collisions in Pittsburgh early Tuesday morning left three people injured, including two Pennsylvania State Troopers.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the sequence of events began when a Ford Focus became disabled in the northbound lanes of the Parkway North near the exit for Hazlett Street shortly after midnight.
As the driver was pushing the Focus off the roadway, they were hit by a Dodge Ram that left the scene. When State Police arrived to investigate the incident in a marked police vehicle, their vehicle was struck by an SUV. Two troopers in the vehicle were injured and the driver of the disabled vehicle were transported to a hospital, where all three were being evaluated for minor injuries.
The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene. Anyone with information about the Dodge Ram was asked to contact State Police.
