WASHINGTON COUNTY, PA – Emergency crews were called to a rollover accident in Washington County on Saturday afternoon.
According to a Facebook post by the South Strabane Fire Department, Squad 443 responded to the on-ramp of Interstate 70 and East Beau Street shortly after 4 p.m. on a report of a vehicle crash with multiple injuries.
Crews arrived to find that a vehicle had flipped onto its roof on a hill, with three people trapped. Rescuers stabilized the vehicle and extricated the occupants,
A report by WTAE said investigators learned that the driver was going at a high rate of speed and drove off the road, where the vehicle struck an embankment, went airborne, and overturned.
Three women in the vehicle were seriously injured and flown to Presbyterian Hospital for treatment.
